John Augustyn
President
John Augustyn brings more than 25 years of operations management and project engineering experience to his role as President. He is responsible for setting Pyramid’s strategic direction, overseeing the implementation of new products, and developing a strong management team.

Prior to joining Pyramid, Augustyn spent 14 years at Walbro Corporation/Whitehead Engineered Products, most recently as its Vice President of Operations. Walbro is a worldwide manufacturer of automotive fuel systems supplying all major car companies.

In the early 1980’s, John Augustyn, along with two partners, founded the automotive parts manufacturing company known as Whitehead Engineered Products. At that time, he developed and patented a device for a fuel injection system that was installed on all Ford light trucks.

At the start of his career, Augustyn held project engineering positions at Stanadyne Diesel Corporation and Hamilton Standard.

Active in his local community, Augustyn is President of the Board of Directors at United Way of Meriden & Wallingford. He is also a Board Member at the Community Foundation of Central Connecticut. In addition, he served for several years on the Board of the Meriden YMCA where he held the position of Vice President.
John Augustyn earned his MBA in Finance at the University of Hartford, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Connecticut.


George Bucci
Vice President of Engineering
George Bucci has more than 30 years experience in the Engineering field. Serving as Pyramid’s Vice President of Engineering, he is responsible for all mechanical and electrical engineering projects. His in-depth knowledge of electronic designs includes various microprocessors and related code.

Prior to joining Pyramid, Bucci spent 16 years at Walbro Corporation/Whitehead Engineered Products, most recently as its Vice President – R&D. Walbro is a worldwide manufacturer of automotive fuel systems supplying all major car companies. While at Walbro, he was responsible for engineering and new product development.

Bucci, along with John Augustyn and one other partner, founded the automotive parts manufacturing company known as Whitehead Engineered Products. He held the position of Vice President, Engineering, before and after the acquisition by Walbro. In November 1993, George was named Vice President – R&D for all of Walbro’s North American Operations.

Along with being part owner of Pyramid, Bucci plays a hands-on roll with the engineering and product development, managing a staff of key software and coding developers. Bucci incorporates years of past product engineering with the needs of the Time and Attendance industry to manufacture simple to use and long lasting systems. He also holds 16+ U.S. patents in the automotive and time product line.


Marlowe Gronbeck
Vice President of Finance
Marlowe Gronbeck joined Pyramid Technologies as Vice President of Finance in 2004. Marlowe came to Pyramid from TI Group Automotive, where he served as Controller from 1986-2004. TI Group Automotive is the world’s leading supplier of fluid storage, transfer and delivery systems including brake, fuel, and air conditioning applications.

During his time away from the office, Marlowe stays active in his local community as a United Way Campaign Volunteer and as President of the Board of Directors for the Meriden Boys and Girls Club. For over a century, the Club has inspired and enabled thousands of local youths, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Marlowe is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Meriden Municipal Credit Union, and on the Governing Board of Christ Chapel in Madison, Connecticut.

Marlowe Gronbeck is a graduate from Moorhead State University in Moorhead, Minnesota, where he earned his BA degree. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
